VanDaels BV cares a lot about your privacy. Therefore, we only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by VanDaels. The effective date for the validity of these terms is 28/12/2019; with the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions ceases. This privacy policy describes what data about you is collected by us, what this data is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse, as well as what rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us.

WEB SHOP SOFTWARE
Odoo
Our web shop has been developed using Odoo software. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of our services will be shared with this party. Odoo has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, and they will never use your data for any other purpose. Odoo is required to take appropriate security measures. Odoo uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored.
WEB HOSTING
Neostrada
We obtain web hosting and email services from Neostrada. Neostrada processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This does not include personal data. Neostrada has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent loss and unauthorised use of your personal data. Neostrada is obliged to maintain confidentiality under the agreement.
EMAIL & MAILING LISTS
Outlook
We use the services of Outlook for our regular business email communication. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Outlook does not have access to our inbox, and we treat all our email communication confidentially.
Odoo mailing lists
Our mailing lists have been developed using Odoo software. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of our services will be shared with this party. Odoo has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, and they will never use your data for any other purpose. Odoo is required to take appropriate security measures. Odoo uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored.
PAYMENT PROCESS
Mollie
To handle (part of) the payments in our web shop, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, and residence details, as well as your payment information such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and, in this context, to share (anonymised) data with third parties. In the case of a request for a deferred payment (credit facility), Mollie shares personal data and information regarding your financial position with credit assessors. All the aforementioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than permitted by legal terms.
REVIEWS
Odoo
We collect reviews via the Odoo platform. If you leave a review through Odoo, you are required to provide your name, place of residence, and email address. Odoo shares this information with us so that we can link the review to your order. Odoo also publishes your name and place of residence on its own website. In some cases, Odoo may contact you to provide clarification on your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with Odoo. They use this information solely for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. Odoo has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Odoo reserves the right to engage third parties for the purpose of providing the service, for which we have given Odoo permission. All the aforementioned safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the service for which Odoo engages third parties.
SHIPPING & LOGISTICS
Bpost
When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of Bpost to carry out the deliveries. It is necessary for us to share your name, address, and place of residence details with Bpost. Bpost uses this information only for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement. In the event that Bpost engages subcontractors, Bpost will also make your information available to these parties.
AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED DATA
Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data (for example, your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.
COOPERATION WITH FISCAL AND CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION
In certain cases, VanDaels may be required by law to share your data in connection with fiscal or criminal investigations by the government. In such cases, we are compelled to share your data, but we will resist this within the limits that the law allows us.
RETENTION PERIODS
We retain your data as long as you are our client. This means that we will keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you inform us of this, we will also interpret it as a request for erasure. Under applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable period lasts. However, employees will no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have created in response to your assignment.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under the applicable Belgian and European legislation, you as the data subject have certain rights regarding the personal data that is processed by or on behalf of us. We explain below what these rights are and how you can invoke them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies and extracts of your data to the email address we already have on file for you. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to verify your identity. We maintain a record of processed requests, and in the case of a right to be forgotten request, we manage anonymised data. You will receive all copies and extracts of data in the machine-readable format that we use within our systems. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority at any time if you suspect that we are using your personal data in an incorrect manner.
RIGHT OF ACCESS
You always have the right to access the data that we (have) process and that relate to you or can be traced back to you. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address we have on file for you, along with an overview of the processors who hold this data, indicating the category under which we have stored this data.
RIGHT OF RECTIFICATION
You always have the right to have the data that we (have) processed and that relates to you or can be traced back to you, adjusted. You can make a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address we have on file that the data has been adjusted.
RIGHT TO OBJECT TO PROCESSING
In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of VanDaels. If you object, we will immediately cease processing the data pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is justified, we will provide you with copies and/or duplicates of the data that we (have) processed and then permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subjected to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe this is the case, please contact our contact person for privacy matters.

Google Analytics
Cookies from the American company Google are placed via our website as part of the 'Analytics' service. We use this service to track and report on how visitors use the website.
This processor may be required under applicable laws and regulations to provide access to this data. We collect information about your browsing behaviour and share this data with Google. Google can interpret this information in conjunction with other datasets and thereby track your movements on the internet. Google uses this information to offer targeted advertisements (Adwords) and other Google services and products.

We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. However, you will always find the most recent version on this page. If the new privacy policy affects the way we process data already collected about you, we will notify you by email.
